The Story
An inspired beginning
Conceived in 2002 by Henrietta at just 21 years of age, Aura began as a sculptural exploration of nature, geometry and human connection. Inspired by the nautilus shell, the original modular seating system evolved from a university design project into an internationally recognised, award-winning collection.
The success of Aura led to the establishment of 2DESIGN STUDIO in 2003, founded by Henrietta in collaboration with Roger. The multidisciplinary design and manufacturing practice would go on to see its work celebrated in interiors, exhibitions and design collections around the world.
Evolution

From a single handcrafted prototype to an internationally celebrated family of sculptural objects, Aura continued to evolve through material innovation, new technologies and an enduring exploration of form and function.

2002 — Aura Original
The beginning. Individually handcrafted in fibreglass resin, inspired by the nautilus shell.
2003 — 2DESIGN
A design studio and consultancy established following the success of Aura Original and its first design award.
2004 — Aura Classic · Pebble · Illuminated
Rotational moulding and integrated lighting technology expanded the collection.
2010 — Aura Mini
A new expression of the original modular form.
2013 — Aura Upholstered
An exploration of softness, texture and materiality.
2015 — Aura Chameleon
A further evolution of the collection's versatility.
